A New Old World Order

This mixed media piece was created to show the absurdity of former President and Presidential candidate Donald J. Trump, his delusions, and references to history in times where we shouldn't want to repeat. The caricature was inspired by the Chibi art style where the head is drawn larger than the body and everything is drawn with simplicity and exaggeration. The piece depicts the U.S.'s current dubious trajectory into the future morally, politically, and socially. American society has become more intolerant and hateful. Or, maybe it's always been but they were relegated to being in the woodwork, biding for their time to come out again. I've wondered how people in history became complacent, brainwashed, and seemingly to blindly follow a leader. Now that I've seen it first hand, I'm still confounded. I worry for America's future. But, this old world order seems to be proliferating all around the world. I worry for all of us and whether we will make it out on the other side morally intact.
